Tanzania Association of Foresters (TAF)

 

Tanzania Association of Foresters is an association of 600 professional foresters from all over Tanzania, established in 1976. TAF aims at promoting sustainable forestry management practises in the country.

With the support of SCC, TAF has embarked on an organizational transformation process, widening its focus and scope of action from tree planting to increased emphasis on agro forestry and conservation of environment.

Mtandao wa Vikundi vya Wakulima wa Wilaya ya Monduli (MVIWAMO)
MVIWAMO is a network of farmers groups in Monduli District in Northern Tanzania, and a part of the national Tanzanian farmers organization MVIWATA. The organization works to mobilize, build and strengthen a network of farmer groups in order to enhance communication, participation and representation through programs and activities that improve livelihood of small scale farmers.

Mtandao wa Vikundi vya Wakulima Tanzania (MVIWATA)

Literally, MVIWATA is an acronym for the National Network of Small-Scale Farmers Groups in Tanzania. MVIWATA was founded in 1993 and is a farmers organisation which unites small holder farmers in order to have a common voice in defence of economic, social, cultural and political interests of smallholder farmers in Tanzania.
