Our Study Circle Material - The Abstracts

This set of abstracts presents materials published by SCC Regional Offices for Eastern and Southern Africa and its partners/co-publishers. The materials include a number of study circle titles and those meant for farmer organisations’ support. Some of the materials are available with partner organisations as owners and co-publishers.

The materials are produced under the auspices of the Study Circle Support Project, coordinated by the Regional Study Circle Resource Centre, initiated to support partner organisations and other stakeholders develop their capacity to implement study circles.

Study circles are a self-study approach involving people meting in a small group of 5-15 persons to study a topic of their interest. The study groups are voluntarily formed and the learning process is guided by one of the group members, democratically elected by the group members. This study circle leader is not a teacher, but facilitates sharing of information, including stimulation of discussion and linking the study
